MARCH OPENING

The Agenda for March:
March 2nd 5:30-7:30pm meeting for those who cannot show on 3/3/07.
March 3rd 10:00am meeting to receive price tags and inventory sheets for your items. We will go over how to attatch these and personalize them. You may take them home or work on them at the store. We will also further discuss scheduling.
March 10th 10:00am Quarterly fees are due. The fee is $75 and will cover April, May & June. Upon payment you may start placing your items in the store on this day! So bring your check and your items. Plan to be at the store for a few hours to help display.
March 15th is our opening! This is the 3rd Thursday for the downtown Henderson Arts district. We plan to be open from 5pm to 10:00pm on this night for sure.
March 16th our first normal day of business.
Our business hours are Thursday & Friday 12-5pm. Saturdays 10-5pm.

* There will be a training/orientation day also. The date will be announced, we are still waiting on our cash register, credit card machine and security system.

Here is a picture taken at the store last week. It is a little further along than this now, but there is still plenty to be done.

OUR NEXT CLEANING DAY IS FEBRUARY 3RD AT 9:30am!
There will be applications available for new members. Along with cleaning, we will also be discussing jurying criteria and quantity limits.

UPDATE: Our jewelry department is full and we have a wait list started. The handmade cards section is also full. We are especially interested in quilts, blankets, photography, lotions & ceramics.

To get involved, attend the January 16th meeting. Everyone is invited to any and all meetings. We are a very motivated yet laid back group of friendly crafters. If you share our vision to see the craft community grow and do great things, then come to this meeting. Get in from the beginning!

WHAT IS A CO-OP?
City Light's is a co-operative organization for artists and crafters. As a co-op, no one person is the "owner" of the store. The store is "owned" and staffed entirely by members on a volunteer basis. As a group, we will use "City Lights Too" to help promote our crafts and provide an outlet to sell our wares. We also look forward to being a great meeting spot for classes and crafting parties!

WHAT ABOUT THE STORE?
A Craft & Art gift shop. Presented in a boutique style, all products (except jewelry) will be intermingled. No cubicles or booths will be used. We feel this will provide the best and most unique shopping experience. This will also be much easier to rearrange and keep the store looking fresh.

Located in Downtown Henderson. The address is #10 Water Street, currently the signage still says "ART A LA CARTE". The sign will soon be replaced. Downtown Henderson has been most gracious in promoting the art/craft community, there are several other galleries there as well.


Want to Teach your own Classes?
Besides being a fully stocked gift shop, we also offer classroom & meeting facilities. We would love to have "home parties", girls night out, classes, etc. A kitchen is also available!

We will do our best to provide a fun and accommodating space for crafters, artists and the community as a whole.

IF you are not accepted please do not be discouraged, there could be many reasons for this. We will make suggestions to you and you may try again later.

The supplies hanging on the walls are leftover from the previous merchant. She has donated these to the Gallery for fund raising. All supplies are 75% off marked price!!!! You will find stamps, inks, paints, stickers, paper, collage supplies and much more. Items are available for purchase at our meeting.
